How Can severe Hair Fall Be Treated?

Hello doctor. 1- I am suffering from severe hair fall and hair thinning problem. I have tried many home made masks i also take care of nutrition. 2- I eat eggs, green vegetables, flex seed, grean tea, almond, salad, dairy products daily and rarely eat junk food. 3- I have consulted dr batra..he told me that increased levels of dht ( dihidrotestosterone) is the main reason of hair thinning..he suggested that i should take their treatment which i find very expensive and time taking also i have read many negative reviews about their treatment. 4- One doctor has prescribed me some multivitamin tablet and i also take fish oil suppliments. I apply foligain hair regrowth lotion to my hair. I wash my hair with amla and shikakai paste which i prepare at home. 5- Even then the condition of my hair is getting worse day by day.my scalp is also visible now. 6- I m 30 years old woman and i have a 2.5 year old son. 7 - I m suffring from thyroid and i take 100 mg thyroxin tablet daily. 8- Please suggest what else i can do to stop hair fall and hair thinning problem. What is your opinion about dr batra clinic?

Hello,
Hypothyroidism can cause hair fall but it is generally the body and eye brow hair that becomes thin and fall. Since you are already on medications you just have to make sure the dosing is right for your serum or blood thyroid hormone levels.
Dihydrotestosterone can cause hair loss. DHT is an hormone so you must find out if you have any hormonal or autoimmune condition which is the root cause.
If you have undergone a uterus removal or in menopause then again the hormone level can fluctuate.
If suppose you do not have any other underlying disease then the only treatment that could help is a prescription drug called Minoxidil. This will decrease DHT levels. However, you must be very careful with the dosing as there are associated side effects as well.
I don't have any idea about Batras. Do continue all your viable home remedies for your hair loss.
